Kris Lees
Kris is fresh on
the scene within the training ranks, but is in no way new to the
racing industry.
Kris has spent over 15 years in the industry working for his father. Kris is the son of Legendary Newcastle Trainer, Max Lees. Over a career lasting longer than 25 years, Max put the polish on top liners like Luskin Star, Coronation Day, Snippets, Ruffles, Flitter, Shindig, Chlorophyll, Satin Sand, Quick Silver Cindy and County Tyrone among many Group 1 winners. Kris in his own right as a trainer, has headed the Lees Racing Stable for only the last 2 years. In the last 12 months he has led in 2 Group 1 winners, County Tyrone and Vitesse Dane, many stakewinners including Britt’s Best and Covet Thee, over 70 winners in the 2004-2005 racing season and winners of more than $2.3 million also through the 2004-2005 season.
